Harriet Gosling painting
Harriet Gosling trained for three years (1986-89) at Studio Cecil-Graves, Florence, Ā Italy. Here Harriet studied and practised the traditional classical "Sight-Size" technique used by the Old Masters. A year was spent perfecting skills in charcoal and pencil and the subtleties of "chiaroscuro" (light and shade) before progressing to oils. Since returning to England, Harriet has spent most of her time working on commisioned portraits and still-life. She now also works in pastel. Harriet has had several sporting limited print runs which have sold world-wide.
